The beach is not a beach, that's how Amandakis could be described. It is not exactly a beach, rather a large flat rock from which you have to jump into the sea and thus discover hidden corners under the sea surface. It may not look very appealing, and even we considered whether to visit Amadakis beach at all, but the kids loved the underwater world as a result.

Right next to the Melissani Cave lies the natural gem of Lake Karavomilos. It is formed by underground freshwater springs that mix with seawater from the sea, which is only a few metres away, to create a unique environment with a variety of flora and fauna.

The fortress of Assos, which rises majestically on a rocky outcrop on the northwest coast, is a testament to the island's rich history and strategic importance. What makes Assos Fortress attractive, however, are the breathtaking views and sunsets over the sea, which attract young couples to enjoy the romantic atmosphere.
