Eagle Beach is Aruba’s most famous beach. It is regularly ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the world and its beauty cannot be denied. Miles of white sand and turquoise sea create an idyllic atmosphere that will leave you captivated. When you feel the soft sand between your toes and the sun’s rays on your face, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into paradise. This beach is also home to the famous divi-divi trees, whose distinctive, wind-shaped silhouettes have become a symbol of Aruba. If you’re looking for spots to take beautiful photos, these trees are a must-stop!

Endless beach
At Eagle Beach, you’ll be greeted by a vast stretch of fine white sand that’s wide enough for everyone to find a place to relax. Here the sea is crystal clear, shallow and calm, suitable for swimmers and for relaxing on the shore. You will be swept away by the sound of the gentle waves, the smell of sea salt and the sight of the turquoise water.

Some parts are fuller, and some are less so, depending on the height of the hotel that stands by that particular stretch of beach. We walked about 2 kilometres of the beach and personally, I think the most beautiful part is the northern end, where you can also find divi-divi trees.

If you don’t live directly on Eagle Beach, we recommend choosing the northern part of the beach, which is less busy and offers more privacy. You’ll also find spots with public parking and a few umbrellas to take advantage of. This part is ideal for quiet relaxation without the crowds of tourists.

Fully organized with lots of options
You’ll find it all at Eagle Beach. Cocktail bars, restaurants, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, as well as jet skis. If you’re craving the perfect nothing to do with beautiful scenery, the beach will definitely not disappoint and will offer everything for a perfect day.

Unforgettable walk along the coast
You can’t skip the beach walk, but it’s definitely worth heading along the coastline north to Palm Beach for some spectacular views. Once you’ve left Eagle Beach, continue on along the rocks. Don’t worry, it will be worth it.

Already along the way you will encounter giant clams. There are hundreds of them, and we didn’t find a single one on the beach.

Since there were so many of them, I decided to make a heart out of them and my husband finally got down on one knee in front of me. The atmosphere is completely different from Eagle Beach a few steps away. Here, the coastline looks inhospitable, wild and yet beautiful.

As a bonus, there are holes in the ground through which water rolls in the event of a larger wave. These sea “geysers” will offer you pleasant refreshment and entertainment. You never know when and how strong the current will splash at you.

How to get to Eagle Beach?
If you are staying near Oranjestad or Palm Beach, Eagle Beach is accessible by car in a few minutes. You’ll find free parking on the beach, but we recommend arriving in the morning or early afternoon to make sure you have plenty of space. If you don’t have a car, you can take the local buses that stop near the beach. Renting a car in Aruba was very cheap and with the prices of food in the restaurants, we used it for trips to Superfood, the best supermarket in Aruba.
