Baby Beach, located on the southern coast of Aruba, is one of the most picturesque and peaceful beaches on the island. This shallow, crescent-shaped lagoon is a popular spot for families and those seeking relaxation and tranquillity in the shallow, warm waters of the Caribbean. Swimmers will find themselves quite at a loss here, as you can still reach the rocks where the waves are breaking. This is especially appreciated by families with children and people who love sitting in shallow water.

Picturesque bay
Baby Beach got its name because of its shallow water, which is ideal for small children and less experienced swimmers. Surrounded by natural sand dunes and protected from the waves by a coral reef, the lagoon is calm and warm throughout the day.
Green bushes surround the turquoise sea and fine white sand, under which you will find the longed-for shade. Sun loungers can also be rented, which is a nice bonus.

In contrast to Eagle Beach and Arashi Beach, Baby Beach is rather smaller. You can walk all of it in about 10 minutes. Nevertheless, it is never full.
You can observe a diverse underwater world and several species of fish around the coral reef. For us though, overall Aruba was more about the beautiful beaches and the underwater life was weak compared to the neighbouring island of Bonaire.

Flinstone bar
Baby Beach caught our attention back home with photos of the Flintstone car we grew up on. It has become an obvious can’t-miss stop in Aruba. And we don’t regret it. Both the cars and the iconic dragon were still there in all their glory, allowing us to return to our childhood days.

Even the food in the restaurant is good news. It was excellent and the price of the main course hovered around €20, which is a good price for Aruba. Serving was even better and we had a real gastro experience. Their chicken in peanut sauce is fabulous and you definitely have to try it. According to Martin, it was the best of all the places he tasted it here.

How to get to Baby Beach?
Baby Beach is approximately 30 minutes’ drive from Oranjestad. In fact, the easiest way to get here is to rent a car, which not only gives you the flexibility but also the opportunity to explore the south coast of the island. Ideally, you should arrive at Baby Beach after visiting Arikok National Park.
